Lawyer Referral Service
The Lawyer Referral Service generates leads from calls into the DCBA office and through the Find a Lawyer page on this site. There is no cost to the clients and we ask member attorneys to provide up to a half hour of complimentary consultation time. Membership dues for the program are reasonable and DCBA membership is not required. DCBA actively advertises the program to the community and it is well known in the community as many of the referrals to the service are generated by word of mouth. In the last year, DCBA’s Lawyer Referral Service has sent 8,500 referrals to our 200 Referral Service Members.
Participation in the Lawyer Referral & Mediation Service is open to all attorneys who
- Have malpractice insurance in full force
- Are licensed to practice in the State of Illinois
- Abide by the DCBA rules
- Are current with the DCBA Referral Service dues
