Lawyer Referral and Mediation Service
The Lawyer Referral and Mediation Service provides referrals to participating attorneys and serves the community by putting people in contact with a local attorney. Outside of DuPage County, Illinois there are additional bar associations in the Chicago Metropolitan area that also provide Lawyer Referral Services. The Illinois State Bar also provides this service at the state level. For an expanded list of referral services in other states, the American Bar Association has resources available.
For The Public: You're new in town and need a lawyer. Or, you're looking for an attorney who has expertise in a specific area of law. When you aren't sure how to locate a lawyer, call the DuPage County Bar Association's Lawyer Referral & Mediation Service (630) 653-9109. If you decide to make an appointment with the attorney, up to one half-hour of consultation is free. Beyond the half hour, the attorney will charge his/her regular rates. Fees should be discussed during your consultation. You have no obligation to hire the attorney referred, nor does the attorney have an obligation to represent you.
