Driver Improvement School
The DuPage County Driver Improvement School offers two National Safety Council certified courses meeting 6-hour court supervision requirements:
- Alive at 25+ - Live, English classroom format only.
Geared toward students under the age of 25, combining Defensive Driving elements with attitude dynamics. This course may be specifically assigned by the court to fulfill supervision requirements. - Defensive Driving (DDC6) - Live classroom format or online (with court approval). Both are also available in Spanish.
Most sessions occur on one six-hour Saturday class or two successive three-hour evening classes; or online with court approval (online option must be checked or circled).

Registration
For all classes, have the following information ready. This information can be found on the driver school sheet given to you in court. Information missing or illegible may be found online at the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, or by calling the Clerks'office at 630.407.8600:
- Your driver's license number
- Complete case number (example, 2011TR012345)
- End of supervision/court date
- Field court location
- Ticketing agency
Note that an access code must be purchased as part of online class registration. Also, an online class certificate will NOT be accepted by the court unless online is clearly indicated as an available option on the information sheet handed to you in court.

Your driver school information sheet will indicate which class is required. Classes fill quickly, so call right away to register. Classes must be completed prior to your supervision end. Courses are available in Spanish and English.
Classroom fees must be paid at least one week prior to your class date. Students will not be allowed to sit for the class without payment. Payment may be made over the phone by debit or credit card, money order payable to Driver Improvement School mailed to the office or by cash at the office during regular office hours. Personal checks are not accepted. Note that all fees are subject to change without notice. See map of our location.
